Get All Excited!

In Worship this September we will be looking at a series of topics related to the excitement of our relationship with God.  God's Grace, God's Healing Power, God's Inquisitive Self and God's Love. Come join us each Sunday as we journey toward falling in love with God a little more every day and learn about how much and in what ways God shows love for us.

New Learning Opportunities

We are expanding our Sunday morning classes to include classes for preschool through Kindergarten and Middle School/Sr High. The Preschool through K class will begin Sunday September 25th and will meet in the preschool room. The Middle School-High School class will meet in the youth room (downstairs) and will begin October 2.
All classes are at 9:30. TRANSPORTATION is available.  Anyone needing a ride please call the church by Thursday at 2 p.m. or text or email Pastor Alice.  785-220-4143 pastor@osagecityumc.com

LISTENING!

The SPRC in conjunction with our consultants is continuing the group listening events that we began several months ago.  Several groups have already met and taken time to discuss the strengths and needs of our church and to look at our values and ministry goals. Sunday, October 16, we want to complete this phase of the project by offering three more listening events.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?  Individuals under the age of 50 and including those who have children at home.  We want to hear your voice on how you experience church life and what your hopes are for our ministry to younger and middle age adults and families.

The second group will be for those who have particular concerns. It could include those who have left the church or have concerns or preferences about how we do things.

The third group is for youth and young adults, 21 and younger.  We want to hear how you experience church, what would make church meaningful to you, what strengths and needs do you see.

HOW WILL WE DO THIS?  Everyone is invited to join us for lunch.  We are going to feed you!  During church one of our consultants will speak to us briefly about the project.  After church we will head to fellowship hall where we will receive a little bit more instruction, fill up our plates, and then each person can head to the group they want to participate in.  WE WILL FINISH BY 1:30 at the latest!!!!

THIS IS IMPORTANT TO US, THE CHURCH AND OUR MINISTRY.  We hope that especially those of you who have not had the opportunity to participate in one of the earlier groups will plan on attending.  We will have a nursery available for toddlers and babies.
